Lack of Health Care in Rural Areas

The number of rural areas and slums are growing in Pakistan due to not being able to afford the living. One of the main problems in Pakistan is to not have access to vaccines and people not having enough health care awareness. People in rural areas don’t have access to proper food, health, and sanitation. There is no proper medical care available in such areas.

People in rural areas don’t get access to the medicines as they are normally not available, and if they are, they are very expensive for them. They compromise their health to fulfill their basic needs, for example, to have access to at least 2 times meals or to clean water.

My maid comes from an area where they don’t get access to proper health care services. There they have a shortage of availability of the doctors, they have to wait for hours for their turn, and this usually consumes their whole day which they can’t afford (as most of them work on daily wages).

The medicines they get are expensive. According to her if they choose to focus on their health, they won’t be left with enough money to survive the whole month.

Her brother is suffering from heart disease and his medicines cost his family too much, so they try to avoid as much as they can.

After hearing all this, I tried to help her as much as I could and, came to know how important an issue this is, equally as providing these people with food or clean water.

My aim is to provide medicines in rural areas and slums at a very affordable price to the people who need it and can’t afford it.
